Introduction
Ce’ the jeweller was created in the early months of 2001. Though the jewellery experience of its managing director and owner, Robert Drewett, covers some 32 years. This experience within the jewellery industry started with a rare, five year apprenticeship in diamond mounting. (Diamond mounting is the practical art of hand making jewellery for diamonds and other gemstones).
The apprenticeship was served in London’s West End. This area served the high quality needs of many well known Bond Street jewellers.
Following 20 years at the bench Robert followed a new direction into retail jewellery. Here, those years of experience were used to train other people in the knowledge of making and restoring fine jewellery. Customers too felt assured when speaking directly to someone who knew exactly how jewellery was repaired and made. The quest to give the very best customer service and advice has always been of paramount importance. Jewellery is a complex product which can involve many different materials and processes. There are four important points for consideration when making or buying jewellery, these are.
1) The characteristics of each gemstone.
2) The security of the gemstone in its setting.
3) The effectiveness of the setting with the jewellery piece as a whole.
4) To ensure the item has been made and finished to the highest standard.
